Taxpayer Ombudsman joins Twitter

Canada’s Taxpayers’ Ombudsman J. Paul Dube has joined the twitter verse.

He’s launched an account to expand his reach to stakeholders last week, and says, “Twitter provides a new…way for…Canadians to stay informed about their rights as taxpayers.”

The handle is @OTO_Canada, and he plans to use it to post about special reports, updated tips for taxpayers, and public announcements.

So far, Dube has posted once a day and has 16 followers. He’ll also assist taxpayers who feel they are being treated unfairly by the CRA.
