Tax scandal hits HSBC

Leaked bank account files have revealed HSBC’s Swiss banking arm has allegedly been “help[ing] wealthy customers dodge taxes and conceal millions of dollars of assets,” reports The Guardian.

As a result of the leak, says The Guardian, banks should expect renewed “calls for crackdowns on offshore tax havens.” Read more.
