Ohio woman jailed for tax return fraud

Ohio resident Bridgette Jones will go to jail for five years and a month after filing false tax returns worth more than $650,000, reports Cincinnati.com.

On top of jail time, she has to repay $477,490 to the IRS. Jones, 34, worked with co-consipirators to file false 2010 and 2011 claims under stolen identities.

Jones pled guilty in April and was sentenced this week.

When she was arrested, Jones had amassed more than 300 stolen identities, including birthdates and social security numbers. She and her accomplice were using them to file the false claims.
