If clients didn’t have to file taxes

Tax season gives you headaches. So would you prefer if clients with straightforward returns didn’t have to file taxes at all?

As CBC reports, this is already the case in countries such as Finland, where tax authorities use a set of prepopulated facts on people’s incomes (this includes details about people’s wages, pensions and receipts of dividend, for example) to file taxes on their behalf.

Added information is only required from taxpayers, adds the outlet, if there are errors or missing details.
