Your car can be hacked

Your car is a big computer, and hackers could access its network to control it from afar, says CNN.

There are between 50 and 100 mini-computers controlling a car’s steering, brakes, and acceleration.

The extensive computer code embedded in cars is interconnected, CNN reports, and could all be controlled by one hacker. The hacker would likely break into the system using the vehicle’s wireless Internet connection. Much of the code controlling the vehicle’s computers is outdated, making it easy to manipulate.
