Woman submitted benefits claims for fake child

The Ontario Superior Court of Justice recently ruled Costco was correct in firing a long-term employee after it was revealed she was taking advantage of the company-sponsored health insurance plan.

The court found she had been submitting claims on behalf of a daughter that doesn’t exist, and says she cashed the reimbursement cheques.
