Fans who want to watch the New York Rangers face off against the LA Kings in NYC will be spending thousands per ticket, reports USA Today.

Tickets for Game 3, scheduled for June 9 in New York, run more than $1,000 each. Tickets for yesterday’s Game 1 in Los Angeles cost $679 on average. For Manhattanites who want to attend a game, it would actually be less expensive to fly to Los Angeles and watch there—even factoring in the airfare—than catching a home game, says USA Today.

The price difference between the cities has to do with simple supply and demand. Hockey tickets aren’t as much of a hot commodity in Los Angeles as they are in New York, says USA Today. And New York’s Madison Square Garden has fewer seats than LA’s Staples Centre, making it harder to get New York seats in the first place.
