Chances are, some of your clients are dealing with parents who have dementia or Alzheimer’s disease—or they may be grappling with those conditions themselves. Read: Do you know incapacity planning? Here are some helpful suggestions, reported by CBC, to help their loved ones cope: – Project Lifesaver has radio-emitting bracelets that track the wearer’s location; – The Alzheimer’s Society’s Finding Your Way program registers people with Alzheimer’s or dementia and can provide police details and a photo of a missing person; – Alarms can notify a caregiver when someone has gotten out of bed or opened a door.
