Give thanks for these financial facts

The September job numbers came out today, and Canada’s economy added 74,100 mostly full-time positions, so a new post is something many people will happy about this Thanksgiving.

There’s other good news for Canada’s economy worth reflecting on over the turkey and cranberry sauce this weekend:

  • Canadians are paying their debts. The number of delinquent bills has been falling. It’s now at 1.11%, a six-year low, reports Huffington Post.
  • Next year, many people can expect a raise. Starting salaries for professionals are projected to rise an average of 3.7%, find one study.
  • We are accumulating wealth. The average household’s net worth is now $442,130, up 8% from last year, says Huffington Post.
