By Staff | October 26, 2015 | Last updated on October 26, 2015 1 min read Last fall, consulting firm Deloitte made two major changes to the work environment at one of its offices, reports Canadian Business. Along with redesigning its office in St. John’s, Nfld., the company “teamed up with a Boston-based firm called Humanyze to outfit each employee [at that office] with a smart badge […] that tracked their movements and how often they spoke to one another. The devices essentially gave the analytics team at Deloitte a heat map of office activity.” The devices resemble a smartphone and are worn on a lanyard, and employees were asked to wear them both before and after the office renovation.
