It may also act as one source of feedback to OSC staff on the development of policy and […] By Staff | June 2, 2011 | Last updated on June 2, 2011 1 min read The Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) is seeking applicants for membership on its new Investment Fund Products Advisory Committee (IFPAC). The new committee will advise OSC staff on emerging product developments and innovations in the investment fund industry. It may also act as one source of feedback to OSC staff on the development of policy and rule-making initiatives to promote investor protection, fairness and market efficiency across all types of publicly offered investment fund products. The IFPAC will consist of between 8 and 12 members who will meet four times annually. Members will be selected on the basis of their involvement in the investment fund industry, their knowledge of product development and their strong interest in related policy considerations. IFPAC will be chaired initially by Rhonda Goldberg, director of the OSC’s Investment Funds Branch. Representatives with industry experience in the fund or portfolio management business and other interested persons are invited to apply in writing for membership on IFPAC. Preference will be given to members with experience in product development from a variety of investment fund product types. Interested parties should submit their application indicating their areas of practice and relevant experience by June 30, 2011.
