Horizons to scrap five ETFs

Horizons Exchange Traded Funds has announced today that it will be terminating five of its ETFs, effective at the close of business on Friday June 29, 2012.

The terminating ETFs include:

– Horizons BetaPro COMEX Long Gold/Short Silver Spread ETF (HBZ)

– Horizons BetaPro COMEX Long Silver/Short Gold Spread ETF (HZB)

– Horizons BetaPro COMEX Gold Inverse ETF (HIB)

– Horizons BetaPro COMEX Silver Inverse ETF (HIZ); and

– Horizons BetaPro U.S. 30-year Bond Bull Plus ETF (HTU)

No further direct subscriptions for units of these funds will be accepted. Monday June 25, 2012, is expected to be the last date on which a redemption request may be placed, and the terminated ETFs are expected to be de-listed from the Toronto Stock Exchange at the close of business on or about June 26, 2012.
