The Exempt Market Dealers Association of Canada plans to work with the IFSE Institute, wholly owned by the IFIC, to revise the content of the current Exempt Market Products course.

The course is the only one of its kind in Canada, and is designed for individuals seeking registration as dealing reps and chief compliance officers of exempt market dealers.

The EMDA will consider the feedback of industry, regulators and the public to assess the EMP course and identify areas of improvement. It expects to add new content and update areas, based on the increasing complexity of exempt market products.

“The EMP course needs to keep pace with a complex and rapidly evolving exempt market,” says John Parker, executive director of the IFSE Institute.

Both the IFSE and the EMDA will be developing a new series of exam preparatory seminars and tools to accompany the release of the new course.
