China infrastructure ETF launched

Emerging Global Shares is launching a new ETF.

Capitalizing on China’s strength in prospering during the economic downturn, the new exchange-traded fund will spotlight the country’s infrastructure development by investing in 30 public companies that deal with metals, construction and real estate management.

The China Infrastructure Index ETF (CHXX) charges a net expense ratio of 0.85 percent and has an average market value of $8.3 billion.
