OSC calls for product advisory committee members

The OSC is collecting membership applications for its Investment Funds Product Advisory Committee.

The Commission says product shelves are growing and becoming increasingly complex, so prospective investors are having a harder time identifying and anticipating market trends.

This is why the IFPAC helps the OSC investigate emerging product developments occurring in the investment fund industry. The product committee discusses the impact of these developments.

Serving two-year terms, the eight-to-twelve committee members meet four times annually. Members are selected on the basis of their involvement in the investment fund industry, their knowledge of product development and their strong interest in related policy considerations. They can also apply to extend their memberships.

Rhonda Goldberg, director of the Investment Funds Branch, currently chairs the IFPAC. Applications are due by May 17, 2013, and can be forwarded in writing to:
