Canadian investors remain cautious in their outlook on the markets, according to the latest reading of the Russell Financial Health Index. The index currently stands at 48, with no change since the last reading in Q3 of 2010.

“The lack of change in investor confidence is common at this time of the year, due to a lack of major economic or market indicators pointing investors in a certain direction,” says Fred Pinto, managing director of distribution services at Russell Investments Canada Limited. “This is where the value of a trusted advisor and expert investment advice comes in handy.”

The index remains slightly lower than its Q1 2010 level of 51, indicating that investors are slightly less optimistic today than they were a year earlier.
