Federal budget slated for March 29

The date of the federal budget has been announced, and Finance Minister Jim Flaherty is taking it down to the wire. The budget will be tabled March 29.

What can we expect? Flaherty has said that a draconian budget is not needed, pointing out that Canada is in relatively good fiscal shape compared to the European countries that have implemented austerity measures. Being compared to Greece, Spain and Italy probably comes as little comfort, however.
