What’s your personal data worth?

The data broker industry is based on the trade of people’s personal information, and it’s a multibillion-dollar business, reports Financial Times.

But it turns out individual pieces of data aren’t worth much, says FT, which found “general information about [one] person, such as their age, gender and location” is worth a mere fraction of a penny on average.
