An industry veteran, Thorne has more than 25 years of experience, and most recently served as chief capital market strategist and senior portfolio manager at a large independent investment management firm. Thorne will be in charge of assessing economic, political and capital market trends and determining their implications for portfolios, the firm said in a release. He’ll support the sales and client-serving teams, as well as serve as a spokesperson for the firm. “Thorne’s reputation as a thought leader precedes itself, and we are thrilled to bring another A-player to the team,” said Shaun Hauser, founder and president at Wellington-Altus, in the release.
