Trim those nose hairs: China issues travel etiquette guide

China has created a travel guide with etiquette pointers to help its citizens conform to the customs of countries they’re visiting, reports Newsweek.

The handbook is 64 pages long, and includes advice like not to spit on the street, not to shout in public, and to keep nose-hair trimmed.

The tips were assembled after complaints from host countries about the behaviour of some Chinese tourists.

Assembled by the National Tourism Administration, the guide asks travelers to “observe public order and respect social morality in tourism activities, respect local customs, cultural traditions and religious beliefs,” Newsweek reports.
