Scotiabank appoints EVP and CFO

Scotiabank has appointed Rajagopal Viswanathan as executive vice-president and CFO, effective Nov. 1.

Viswanathan succeeds Sean McGuckin, who announced his leave of absence in May to attend to an illness in his family. Viswanathan was appointed acting CFO in June.

As EVP and CFO, Viswanathan will oversee the finance department, including investor relations, taxation, economics and strategic transactions functions at the bank, says a release.
