(April 28, 2008) AGF is giving investors and advisors new options in its All World Tax Advantage Group, adding three corporate class funds — the AGF Canadian Stock Class, AGF Emerging Markets Class and AGF Canadian Large Cap Dividend Class — to the group.

The new funds will have the same investment objectives as their existing mutual fund trust counterparts and will be managed by the same portfolio managers.

“Advisors told us that they and their clients were looking for more choice within our existing lineup of corporate class funds,” says AGF Funds’ president Randy Ambrosie. “The addition of these new funds will increase the diversification options for investors who also want the potential tax benefits a mutual fund corporation can provide.”

The All World Tax Advantage Group lets investors switch their assets between 20 mutual funds without incurring immediate tax consequences in non-registered accounts.

In addition to adding funds, the company also renamed four funds. The Aggressive Growth Fund will now be called the Aggressive U.S. Growth Fund; the International Value Fund has been renamed the Global Value Fund; the International Value Class is now the Global Value Class; and the World Companies Fund has changed to the Global Equity Fund.

TD Bank launches new PPNs

(April 28, 2008) On Monday, TD Bank launched a new set of Dividend Growth Fund-linked principal protected notes, series 2NL.

The notes, which are tied into the dividend growth fund managed by Doug Warwick and Michael Lough, use a dynamic asset allocation strategy created to provide increased exposure to the fund when performance is up, and reduced exposure when performance is down.

The notes will also provide up to 150% exposure to the fund through the use of leverage.

Investors can buy the notes until June 6; they’ll be issued on June 12. The notes’ term is eight years, maturing on June 10, 2016.
