Mark Carney may be a long shot to replace Sir Mervyn King as the leader of the Bank of England, but he has replaced Chuck Norris in popular culture, being toted as the top unstoppable icon.

Yes, you did read that correctly. Norris, star of action films such as Delta Force and 1990’s TV series Walker: Texas Ranger, is often regarded as unstoppable and unbeatable. And now, Carney has garnered the same status since he shielded Canada from the worst effects of the worldwide financial crisis with his tough, knockout policies and statements.

As such, he is now considered indestructible to more than just investors and the financial community; he has become a legend nationwide and is recognized and popular on social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter.
