Manulife appoints new head of operations

Sarah Miller Wright has joined Toronto-based Manulife Financial Corp. as head of operations, Manulife Canada.

Miller Wright will sit on Manulife’s global operations and Canada leadership teams and be responsible for improving the customer experience, according to a release.

Before joining Manulife, Miller Wright held several senior leadership roles with Shaw Communications Inc., most recently as senior vice president of digital, product and service delivery. Prior to Shaw, she held leadership roles in client services and customer care at Virgin Mobile Canada and BCE Inc.

Earlier this month, Manulife released its second-quarter earnings, reporting that its net income had dropped to half of what it was a year earlier due to Covid-19.
