Investors Group has launched a new fixed income mandate, the Investors Fixed Income Flex Portfolio, which aims to provide current income by investing in a diversified set of underlying funds that invest primarily in fixed income securities.

“Fixed income holdings are a critical component of an investor’s overall portfolio strategy and this new Portfolio is intended to provide investors with diversification across their fixed income holdings.” said John Wiltshire, Investors Group senior vice-president, product and financial planning.

“Having the flexibility to adjust the underlying type of investments, particularly in the current environment, is a key feature of this new offering and a definite advantage to investors.”

The Investors Fixed Income Flex Portfolio is expected to be available for sale early in 2011, once all required regulatory approvals have been received.
