Industry veterans launch advisor portal

Newly formed Accretive Advisor Inc. is partnering with Infinite Media Inc., a developer of information and learning management systems, to create a technology platform that will give advisors access to content, insights, best practices, tools, and coaching.

The first phase of the new advisor portal is scheduled to launch in September 2012.

The portal is for advisors part of the Elite Advisor program, which Accretive 360 Inc. sold to the new firm. The program identifies advisors that meet the highest industry standards of professionalism.

Also included in the deal is Accretive’s Insights & Opinions website and newsletter that has more than 40,000 investor subscribers. Terms of the transaction were undisclosed.

Industry veterans George Hartman and Tom Reimer own Accretive Advisor. Hartman, who is also CEO of Market Logics Inc., specializes in building high caliber wealth management practices. Reimer’s almost three decades in financial services includes senior roles with AGF Funds Inc. and Brandes Investment Partners.
