Financial advisors registered with the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC) can now earn all 10 of their continuing education compliance credits at CE Corner, the continuing education website of Newcom Media (owner of Advisor’s Edge).

With the addition of courses to provide the full slate of compliance credits, CE Corner now offers all required credits for IIROC’s continuing education Cycle 8, which ends on Dec. 31.

“With 11 weeks to go, CE Corner has collaborated with industry partners and its sister publications — Advisor’s Edge and Investment Executive — to provide all credits to IIROC advisors, covering both compliance and professional development,” said Joe Glionna, president of Newcom Media.

CE Corner continues to offer dozens of accredited courses so that financial and insurance professionals can meet their continuing education requirements. Courses include those accredited by the Institute for Advanced Financial Education, the Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario, FP Canada and more.

CE Corner also plans to offer continuing education courses to advisors registered with the Mutual Fund Dealers Association of Canada (MFDA). For those advisors, continuing education requirements come into effect on Dec. 1, and related guidance is forthcoming.

“We are following the MFDA’s announcements closely and will work to provide all applicable MFDA credits,” Glionna said.

CE Corner members receive unlimited access to all courses and other helpful tools and benefits. To become a member, visit CE Corner or email continuing.education@newcom.ca.
