  • Franklin Templeton Investments has launched the Templeton Asian Growth Corporate Class, managed by emerging markets expert Mark Mobius and his team.

The fund will invest not only in companies located in Asia, but those positioned to benefit from growth on the continent.

“Asia represents an important arena in emerging markets investing. While valuations in this region have indeed increased in recent times, growth and profitability still appear strong, indicating, in our view, strong fundamentals,” said Mobius, executive chairman of Templeton Emerging Markets Group. “As bottom-up value investors, we are still able to find attractive stocks on an individual basis in most Asian markets.”

The objective of Templeton Asian Growth Corporate Class is long-term capital appreciation by investing primarily in equity securities of companies located in Asia, including, but not limited to, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, the People’s Republic of China, Pakistan, the Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.
