First bitcoin ATM opens in Vancouver

Vancouver-based Bitcoiniacs and Nevada-based Robocoin have launched the world’s first bitcoin ATM. It’ll convert bitcoins, a digital currency, to Canadian dollars and vice versa, reports cbc.ca.

Customers in Vancouver who visit the ATM will have their palms scanned, and can exchange up to $3,000 worth of bitcoin per day on Canada’s VirtEx exchange, says cbc.ca. Canadian dollars can also be fed in or taken out.
