Domestic insurers gaining market share

The insurance market has been shifting dramatically over the past year.

Product lines have shrunk, and Alister Campbell, CEO of The Guarantee Company of North America, says the Canadian market has continued to “deglobalize”—a trend he’s observed over his 25-year career.

In his view, Canada’s domestic insurers are gaining increased market share due to their personal knowledge of the country’s environment and associated risks.
