Counsel to merge Titan Managed Portfolios

Counsel Portfolio Services has announced it will merge its Titan Managed Portfolios with comparable Counsel investment mandates, following approval of the move by Counsel’s Independent Review Committee.

The mergers will take place as follows:

  • Titan Money Market Fund will be merged into Counsel Money Market
  • Titan Balanced Income Portfolio into Counsel Conservative Portfolio
  • Titan Balanced Portfolio into Counsel Balanced Portfolio
  • Titan Balanced Growth Portfolio into Counsel Balanced Portfolio
  • Titan Growth Portfolio into Counsel Growth Portfolio

The mergers are expected to take place in the first half of 2011. Investors in Titan Managed Portfolios will be provided a minimum of 60 days notice prior to the merger.

Titan Funds Incorporated was acquired by a subsidiary of Investment Planning Counsel Inc. (IPC) on November 1, 2010. On January 1, 2011, Titan amalgamated with Counsel and continues to carry on its business as Counsel Portfolio Services Inc.
