EdgePoint Wealth Management today announced that Ted Chisholm will join the Toronto-based investment management firm effective May 5, 2011.

“Ted has a history of making money for investors,” said chief executive officer, Patrick Farmer. “We are pleased to be able to attract someone of Ted’s calibre to our organization.”

Chisholm is the latest manager to leave Invesco Trimark for EdgePoint, which was founded by Patrick Farmer, Invesco’s former head of North American Retail Investments, Tye Bousada, former vice-president and portfolio manager for Invesco Trimark, and Geoff MacDonald former vice-president and portfolio manager for Invesco Trimark.

Invesco has named Jason Whiting as the lead portfolio manager on Chisholm’s former fund, the Trimark Canadian Small Companies Fund. Whiting has also been named co-manager on both Trimark U.S. Small Companies Class and Trimark Global Small Companies Class, joining Rob Mikalachki and Virginia Au.
