(April 15, 2008) The Mutual Fund Dealers Association released a new suitability guidelines notice to address member requests for more guidance in compliance matters.

The report features both existing regulatory obligations as well as new guidelines, such as material changes to KYC information, suitability triggers and criteria for account and trade supervision.

MFDA officials note that some of the information will result in future rule and policy amendments, subject to the standard review and approval processes.
