(July 24, 2008) Withholding information can be costly, especially if you’re dealing with the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada.

IIROC — formerly the Investment Dealers Association of Canada — charged John D.W. Buskell $50,000 for failing to provide the organization information related to an ongoing investigation.

Besides the fine, Buskell is permanently banned from re-registering with the IIROC and he must pay an additional $31,836.13 in costs.
