CIBC Asset Management has named Connor, Clark & Lunn Investment Management to act as portfolio sub-advisor for the small-cap component of the Imperial Canadian Equity Pool, effective Nov. 2, 2009.

Capital International names new managers

Capital International Asset Management (Canada) has announced changes to a pair of its multiple-manager portfolios, the Growth and Income mandate and the International Equity offering.

Alan Wilson, a 24-year veteran, joins the Growth and Income mandate, replacing Roger Mortimer, who has resigned from the organization. Wilson has been with Capital since 1991 and is a director with The Capital Group Companies, Inc.

On the International Equity portfolio, Michael Cohen will replace Mortimer and Richard Havas, who will be moving to another investment affiliate within the organization. Cohen has 18 years of experience as a portfolio manager.

RBC Dexia appoints new chief risk officer

RBC Dexia Investor Services has appointed Frank Van Hoornweder as its chief risk officer. He will be based in Luxembourg.

“As the environment in which we operate becomes increasingly sophisticated, this appointment underscores our commitment to continue to build a strong risk-centric environment,” sayssaid José Placido, CEO of RBC Dexia Investor Services. “The specialized risk management expertise and leadership experience he brings will serve as key assets to our clients and our organization.”

Van Hoornweder has more than 16 years of experience in financial risk management, having served as CEO of Adinfo SA in Belgium. Prior to that posting, he held a number of management positions with Dexia Bank.

AEGON replaces fund sub-advisor

AEGON Fund Management has hired Transamerica Investment Management, LLC as portfolio sub-advisor of the imaxx Global Equity Growth Fund.

Transamerica replaces Edinburgh-based Walter Scott & Partners, Ltd., effective Sept. 30, 2009. There will be no changes to the investment objectives or investment strategy of the fund at this time and unitholders have received notification of this change.
