Effective today, the Montreal Exchange has listed put and call options on the Claymore Gold Bullion ETF.

Those options are also currently available on the Claymore Natural Gas Commodity ETF and the Claymore Global Agriculture ETF.

Claymore’s Gold Bullion ETF replicates the performance of the price of gold bullion, less the fund’s expenses and fees, by investing in holdings of gold bullion in 400 or 100 troy ounce international bar sizes, and does not speculate on the short-term changes in gold prices.

Industrial Alliance, IA Clarington to trumpet brand

Industrial Alliance and IA Clarington are joining forces to promote their brands in Canada with a little help from a familiar pacaderm.

The campaign is based on the elephant in the Industrial Alliance and IA Clarington logo which was incorporated into the logo in 1992 during Industrial Alliance’s centennial anniversary.

“We chose the elephant because of the many distinctive qualities one associates with this species: strength, longevity, loyalty, sense of family and sense of responsibility,” said Jacques Carrière, vice-president of investor relations for Industrial Alliance.

The new campaign will compare the noble characteristics of the elephant to a particular product line of IA and IA Clarington, such as life insurance, investments, critical illness insurance, group insurance and group pensions, RRSPs and RESPs.
