Beutel Goodman has proposed changes to three of its funds.

The company wants to change the name of the Canadian Equity Plus fund to Beutel Goodman Total World Equity Fund, as investments will continue to be made in securities both within Canada and abroad.

The Beutel Goodman Canadian Intrinsic Fund will focus on investments made mainly in Canada and the U.S., which is the reasoning behind the fund’s potential name change to Beutel Goodman North American Focused Equity Fund.

Lastly, the company wants to change the Beutel Goodman Small Cap Fund’s objective, since it says “the meaning of ‘small’ changes over time.”

The changes will be discussed at a meeting of the unitholders of each fund around August 7; if approved they will take immediate effect.
