Financial services leaders honoured by Women’s Executive Network

Thirteen women honoured by the Women’s Executive Network are leaders within the financial services space.

On Monday, the WXN and its partners announced Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Award Winners.

“It takes a powerful woman to lead like a legend in her field, organization or community, and it takes a powerful woman to empower those around her to do the same,” said Sherri Stevens, owner and CEO of WXN, in a release. “This year’s winners embody that power, giving us hope when we need it most, setting new bars and changing the status quo.”

Of the 103 women recognized in 2023, 13 women are employed in financial services. They are:

  • Apefa Adjivon, manager, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Scotiabank
  • Jamie Doolittle, head of business banking, Central Region, BMO Bank of Montreal
  • Anna Hannem, vice-president, Data & AI Risk, Scotiabank
  • Renée Laflamme, executive vice-president, Individual Insurance, Savings and Retirement, iA Financial Group
  • Kimberley Mason, executive vice-president and head, RBC Private Banking, Canada, RBC Wealth Management
  • Monique Maynard, executive vice-president, chief actuary Canada & president, Quebec Affairs, Canada Life
  • Sona Mehta, senior vice-president, Everyday Banking, Saving and Investing, TD Bank
  • Mahima Poddar, group head & SVP, Personal Banking, Equitable Bank
  • Tanya Postlewaite, vice-president, Trust and Credit Union Services, Equitable Bank
  • Poonam Puri, professor of law, Osgoode Hall Law School, Research Chair in Corporate Governance, York University; co-founder and director of the Osgoode Investor Protection Clinic
  • Lisa Raitt, vice-chair and managing director, Global Investment Banking, CIBC Capital Markets
  • Catherine Roche, chief marketing officer, BMO Financial Group
  • Tsering Yangki, executive vice-president, Development and Real Estate Finance, Dream Unlimited Corp.
