U.S. land values surge

When house prices start to rise, land values aren’t far behind.

Already, land brokers and builders in the U.S. are saying desirable areas are now double the price they were a couple years ago, reports The New York Times.

It adds “the shortage of lots is slowing the housing recovery, according to the National Association of Home Builders. In August, [the association found] 59% of builders…said lot supply was low or very low.” Read more.
