U.S. companies’ after-tax profits slump

The U.S. economy slowed in the fourth quarter, reports Reuters.

That’s due to “previously reported and after-tax corporate profits record[ing] their biggest drop since early 2011.” One reason is the strong U.S. dollar is weighing on international corporations’ earnings. Read more.
