Mesmerized by the initial success of Twitter’s IPO? Feeling unsettled by Facebook’s early days on the market? The Atlantic has published a flowchart that can help you decide whether you or your clients should invest in the world’s favourite micro-blogging site, which went public yesterday.

In its first day of trading on the NYSE, the stock jumped 73% in value, Bloomberg reports. The IPO valued the stock at $26, but it closed at $44.90 November 7.

The Atlantic cites the work of Nobel Prize-winning economist Eugene Fama, who concluded it’s impossible for investors to beat the market, especially amateur investors. But if you can’t ignore the hype around the tech company’s IPO, check out the flowchart here.
