The bike was a gift to the Pope from the bike company, which celebrated its 110th anniversary last year. It’s a 1,585 cc Dyna Super Glide with brown and black leather and chrome detailing. The pope signed the fuel tank.

At auction in Paris, the bike didn’t have a minimum bid. Its estimated selling price was between 12,000 and 15,000 euros but a bidding war broke out, the Telegraph reports.

Caritas Roma, a charity affiliated with the Roman Catholic church, is getting the proceeds.
