Nasdaq earnings lower than expected

Nasdaq’s second-quarter earnings were depressed, reports Financial Times.

It adds the exchange was hit by the loss of market share for U.S. equity transactions, as well as by the costs incurred while trying to expand into data and fixed income trading.

Earnings per share dropped to 62 cents in the second-quarter.
