Good-looking CEOs mean hot stocks

Attractive CEOs give their companies’ stocks a boost in the early days of their tenures, finds a study by researchers at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee.

They also enjoy higher salaries and get higher premiums in takeovers, the Globe and Mail reports. The researchers looked at 677 CEOs of S&P 500 companies and rated their facial attractiveness. Boosts in the companies’ fortunes were linked to CEOs’ television appearances.
