New York City’s mayor-elect Bill de Blasio has been outspoken about what he sees as the ills of capitalism: social inequality and poverty.

Yesterday in his first major announcement about his vision for the Catholic Church, Pope Francis outlined a plan for a more compassionate ministry. He wants the Church to look out for those dispossessed by capitalism.
