Bitcoin’s mysterious founder unmasked?

Like many of the transactions conducted with Bitcoin, the person who invented the leading digital currency is anonymous.

Bitcoin’s creator is known as Satoshi Nakamoto. Now, Newsweek says the man behind the currency is a model-train enthusiast living in Southern California.

Media surrounded the home of Dorian Satoshi Nakamoto yesterday after Newsweek’s report—a claim he denies. He says he had never heard of the currency until his son told him a reporter had called about it.

If the magazine is mistaken, this wouldn’t be the first time Bitcoin’s maker was misidentified, says the New York Times.
