Federal Reserve vice-chair Janet Yellen is expected to be named head of the Fed today after the Senate approves her nomination.

The Washington Post has put together a list of things to know about President Barack Obama’s pick to run the central bank.

The first: she is likely the most qualified Fed chair in history, with previous experience not only as vice-chair but as head of the San Francisco Fed, and on the bank’s board of governors.

She thinks the U.S. should focus on job creation.

She is also potentially open to changing the way the bank conducts its monetary policy, by focusing on nominal GDP instead of inflation, the Post reports.
