There are 3 basic types of agreements

Marriage contract – made between two spouses. Addresses rights and obligations during marriage, and if or when the marriage ends. May also address property rights, support rights, and related issues.

Co-habitation agreement – similar to a marriage contract, and made by two people who aren’t legally married but live in a marriage-like relationship.
